ACE-High is a vitamin supplement which has been specially formulated to provide high levels of vitamins A, C & E, crucial in aiding animals such as fish, birds and reptiles through periods of stress and disease. The enhanced levels of vitamins A,C & E along with other vitamins and minerals including B1, B2, B6 & B12 have been proven to improve the health of animals. When used regularly, ACE-High helps meet the needs of fish to compensate for vitamins lost in storage, processing, feeding or when washed out due to slow feeding. It also helps fish to maintain levels of crucial vitamins at times of stress or whilst suffering from (or recovering from) illness.

Vitamins A and E are both involved in helping the body resist infection. Vitamin A is essential for healthy mucous membranes such as the mouth, gills and gut, and vitamin E has been shown to boost the immune mechanism in some species. Vitamin C is used up very quickly by the body when it is under stress and therefore must be replaced, otherwise growing fish can become severely and permanently deformed due to vitamin deficiencies. Whatever attention is paid to diet and supplements, fish that have newly arrived in quarantine, travelling to shows, in breeding condition, or suffering from an illness will all require nutritional assistance to maintain their condition and fight disease. We recommend using ACE-High even when you are using pellets that already contain these vitamins. Vitamins are water soluble, and it has been shown that over 50% can leach out of some leading brand pellets after only 30 seconds in the water, and so we advise adding ACE-High (protected in oil or agar) to compensate for these losses.
