Sales Advisor - Droitwich

Do you have previous retail sales experience and are confident in upselling through excellent communication and product knowledge? Are you able to work in a fast-paced environment? Are you passionate about pets?

We are recruiting for a Key Holder to join our Droitwich team. We put all pets' health and well-being first. All our teams receive extensive training from Hannah Molloy of Channel 4’s Puppy School, through our video training platform Myagi, to give our customers and their pets the very best and most up to date advice.

With 24 stores, open 7 days a week, for all your pets' needs from raw feeding and natural deli treats to hay and rabbit food.

As passionate pet people, Just for Pets have a genuine desire to provide the best possible shopping experience for our customers and their pets across our 23 stores, and it’s all down to the fantastic team members we employ across the UK.

Job Duties:

  • Opening and Closing Responsibilities: Responsible for opening and/or closing the store, activating/deactivating alarms, and securing premises.
  • Sales: Promote and sell pet products through engaging with customers and upselling.
  • Customer Service/Assistance: Help customers with product selection and pet care advice.
  • Stock Management: Maintain stock levels, receive and book in deliveries.
  • Pet Care: Provide pet care guidance including grooming and training tips.
  • Store Maintenance: Keep the store clean and presentable.
  • Knowledge of Products: Stay informed through training and industry news.
  • Promotions and Events: Participate in campaigns and pet-related activities.

Required Skills:

We are recruiting for a Store Manager for our brand new, purpose-built Radcliffe on Trent store, located on Bingham Road.

As passionate pet people, Just for Pets have a genuine desire to provide the best possible shopping experience for our customers and their pets across our 25 stores. Whether shopping online or in-store, our friendly and knowledgeable teams are here to help.

Job Duties:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the store, including sales, customer service, presentation standards, and inventory management.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and increase profitability.
  • Train and supervise the store team, ensuring exceptional service, standards, and advice.
  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimal stock availability.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies including cash handling, health and safety, and security protocols.
  • Resolve customer complaints promptly and satisfactorily.
  • Collaborate with marketing to implement promotional campaigns.
  • Work closely with the wider Head Office team.
  • Ensure timely execution of HR processes such as probation reviews, absence and holiday management.

Required Skills:

  • Retail management experience, ideally within a similar industry.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
  • Excellent time management to meet operational deadlines.
  • Track record in sales management, including data analysis and improvement strategies.
